Background
The client is a leading provider of private equity finance, primarily focused on mid-market management buy-outs and buy-ins with a transaction value of between 75 million pounds and 500m pounds. The client has been an investor in private equity for nearly 20 years and has a highly experienced team that operates from offices in London, Paris, Munich, Hong Kong and Sydney. In addition to direct investments, the client is also an investor in third party private equity funds in Europe and Asia, especially in territories and segments that complement its direct activities.

The client is owned by Prudential plc, one of the UK's largest institutional investors, and invests on behalf of the Prudential's UK Life Fund in addition to a number of other clients. Funds available for private equity investment exceed 2bn pounds.

Business Challenge
The client entered into a non-binding agreement to acquire a majority state in a leading Philippine BPO firm. As part of the agreement PPMV had to complete the due diligence phase in the course of 3 months.

In addition to the legal and accounting due diligence, our client wanted to fully understand the company's operational capabilities, competitive position, growth prospects and identify certain business unit synergies that could be leveraged post acquisition.

Our client engaged Neo Advisory to conduct the company and market due diligence. Since the client was working on an aggressive timeline, Neo Advisory was tasked with completing the engagement in 60 days.

Solution
To meet the client's aggressive timeline, Neo Advisory employed several proprietary frameworks to conduct the company and market due diligence. As part of the engagement, Neo Advisory evaluated the following areas:

BPO Market Size and Trends
Sub-segments of the BPO Market and Trends
Sub-segment Growth Risks and Opportunities
Client Segments and Buying Habits
